These qualifications are intended for beginners wishing to learn about a wide range of wines or those seeking to build on their industry knowledge to delve further into the world of wines.

The WSET awards in wines offered by CBBS are suitable for wine enthusiasts and industry professionals at beginner to intermediate level.

You must be over 18 years of age to participate in the course. While you have to be above the legal drinking age to participate in any alcohol tasting, this is not a barrier to successfully completing the qualification.

The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines qualification has a minimum requirement of six hours of study time, in a classroom.

The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines has a minimum requirement of 28 hours of study time, including 16 hours of classroom delivery, 11 hours of personal study and revision and a 1-hour examination.

However, the Colombo Bartender & Barista School may choose to extend the study hours based on the needs of the students and the recommendation of our expert lecturers.
